Healthy, well-nourished calf results in higher milk production in the future

Yes solutions improve the response of animals to health challenges

Ruminants-Health of heifers

We know the complexity of handling calves, from calf birth, cow motherhood, colostrum ingestion, postpartum drying of this animal, the environment it stays in, whether it's airy, whether it's dry, whether it's comfortable, all of that influences on calf rearing.

Literature data indicate that when the calf is caused by diarrhea, it can take four to six months longer to get pregnant in the heifer stage and reach the end of its first lactation between 850 and 1200 liters of milk produced less.

All this because diarrhea ends up, in a way, deconstructing the entire development of this animal's digestive system. That's where this animal can absorb all the nutrients in order to have a good development in adulthood.

Healthy calves and the future of the farm

With a healthy heifer, we seek longevity for our lactating cows, as they are the future of our farm. Yes has nutritional protocols and products for better immunomodulation of the animal.

We managed to promote greater immunity for this heifer to be able to respond to health challenges in a better way.

Yes has products aimed at maintaining intestinal integrity, which makes the heifer develop better its intestinal and ruminal villi, that is, become a ruminant earlier. When we increase these villi, we improve nutrient absorption, making a healthier calf.

On the other hand, we also have an organic mineral technology, which we manage to provide a better supply of selenium, calcium and magnesium. We know that the calf's day-of-life ratio is fundamental in colostrum intake.

If the calf does not adequately ingest the proposed level of colostrum, it starts to have an immune deficiency, which colostrum provides in IGG and IGA, and other immunoglobulins, favoring a better defense of this calf.

The only source of nutrients for the heifers is milk replacer or cow's milk, especially in the first thirty days of the heifer's life. Yes has products and protocols that favor the use of this food, improving villi, having better feed conversion, favoring immunity. Within 30 and even 60 days, we managed to drastically reduce the rate of diarrhea and pneumonia in a calf.
