With production units in Lucélia and Borá, the company encourages job creation and places cities on the sustainability map

Next Wednesday, October 30, Yes, a company that develops biotechnological solutions for effective animal nutrition, will reopen its plant in Lucélia (SP) with the presence of the city's mayor, Carlos Ananias Campos de Souza Junior. In the last 12 months, investments in infrastructure at the two units totaled R$ 20 million, and are part of the brand's repositioning strategies for 2020.

We also have the GMP+ certification, internationally recognized as a seal that guarantees the quality, safety of food and attests to consumers that ingredients are handled responsibly throughout the supply chain”, stresses the operations director of Yes, Leonnardo Lopes Ferreira.

The company also guarantees job creation in the region. 140 employees are employed at the Lucélia (SP) unit alone, with 100 at the factory and 40 at the IBC (Distribution Center). In Borá (SP) there are 21 employees and the number could reach 60 next year.

Lucélia and Borá Units

The Lucélia units, with the production of minerals, yeasts and derivatives and the Borá, for yeast and derivatives, meet the standard of the GMP+ standard, which includes the requirements of the HACCP/APPCC (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), GMP/GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), customers and national and European legislation. In Brazil, the certificate was awarded to 197 companies, with Yes being the fourth company to receive certification in feed additives.

Operating 12 months a year, the Lucélia unit, installed on a 100,000 m plot of land2, being 30 thousand m2 of constructed area, it has a productive efficiency of 20 thousand tons of mixture, and 6 thousand tons of drying per year.

With personnel expansion plans for 2020, the Borá unit has 12 thousand m2 built in 20 thousand m2 of land. The growth plans are also reflected in the production capacity, which in 2019 will be 5 thousand tons/harvest and, in 2020, 17 thousand tons/harvest.
