Poultry-Summer-Challenges With-Arthur-Cony-and-Matheus-Calvo

Every year, a recurring theme directly impacts the productive performance of the herds: the high temperatures, humidity and temperature range that are common in a continental country like ours, perceived in the summer period.

These challenges brought by the summer directly influence high-performance poultry production, as the threshold between profit and loss is very close. Any variable, be it environmental, nutritional, sanitary and/or management, will strongly impact the final production results.

Most of the time, when we think about intestinal health, short cycle poultry productions, such as broiler chickens, come to mind. But the impacts on heavy breeders and commercial laying hens are seen directly in the final products, which ends up compromising the quality of egg production.

Heavy breeders

In the case of heavy broiler breeders, the impacts will be on the quality of their progeny and, consequently, on the productive result of broilers from these matrices. Most of the time, the impacts are related to low performance due to opportunistic pathogens, which cause an imbalance in the intestinal microbiota – dysbiosis.

This forces birds to expend energy and proteins to defeat these agents, seeking to restore the balance of the microbiota. When they manage to restore their integrity, the birds have already had losses in their zootechnical indices.

The importance of immunity lies in maintaining the homeostasis of the intestinal microbiota, which is a complex system. Pathogen-recognizing cells, such as macrophages and dendritic cells, release cytokines that signal the immune system how it should react: in a tolerant or responsive way.

When we have a microbiota in balance, the aforementioned eubiosis, we will have a tolerant immune system. If the microbiota is out of balance, with loss of diversity, the immune system becomes responsive, and we cannot have that in our herds, because the economic losses are enormous.

Yes Solution: Golf Line

Therefore, Yes brings to the market a solution that brings together what is most technological for high performance production: the Golf line. This technology, patented by Yes, brings together in a single product the purified β-glucans responsible for intestinal immunomodulation, making birds more immunocompetent in the face of intestinal challenges.

It also has phosphooligosaccharides, known as FOS, and galactooligosaccharides, popularly known as GOS. These are powerful prebiotics that will act directly in the modulation of the intestinal microbiota, acting to increase the production of lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria – beneficial bacteria responsible for good intestinal functioning.

FOS and GOS Prebiotics

Prebiotics FOS and GOS also stimulate the production of short-chain fatty acids such as acetate, propionate and butyrate. Butyrate acts as an energy source for the development of enterocytes, providing greater development of intestinal villi and crypts and, consequently, greater surface area for nutrient absorption. This leads to improved feed conversion and weight gain in birds.

In addition to prebiotics and immunomodulators, the Golf Line also has mineral blends in its organic form for better absorption of these minerals. All this in a single product!

Thus, the Yes Golf Line brings to the market specific products for each type of production. For aviculture, we have two products: Yes Golf Poultry, focused on the production of broilers, and Yes Golf Egg, for commercial broodmares and layers.

This differentiation was made to focus on the demands and requirements of each phase of the poultry production cycle, seeking the maximum application of these biotechnologies to improve the zootechnical results of each segment. This is because there are particularities that must be considered, in which the requirements and challenges of a breeder are different from those perceived in broilers.

With this in mind, Yes has developed specific products, changing the concentrations of each ingredient and testing these solutions in experiments at universities to ensure and meet the requirements of each animal and achieve maximum production performance, whether for egg production or for the production of meat.

In addition to the Yes Golf Line, Yes has the GutBio GlucanMOS Line, a product based on β-glucans and mannanoligosaccharides. The use of GlucanMOS focuses on the development of local intestinal immunomodulation provided by the high concentrations of β-glucans present in its formula, which also act in the agglutination of type 1 fimbria bacteria, such as Salmonella and E. coli..

Experiment carried out by Yes

In an experiment already carried out by Yes, we obtained an agglutination of 95% of the Salmonella and 100% of E. coli.. These agglutinations are carried out by mannanoligosaccharides, which, in addition, also exert an excellent prebiotic action in the development of good bacteria and in the production of short-chain fatty acids.

Today, Yes programs and solutions for zootechnical performance are oriented according to the challenges and reality of each client. There is no cake recipe! The placement of the right tools must be made available in the right places.

In other words: using Yes, Yes Golf Line and GutBio GlucanMOS technologies, in specific phases of bird life, in order to seek the best cost-benefit and animal performance.

In summary, the use of the GutBio GlucanMOS, Golf Poultry and Golf Egg programs provide direct actions in the modulation of the microbiota with a local immunomodulatory effect. These are solutions developed by Yes to meet market demands, offering a biotechnological solution that guarantees healthy, effective and safe nutrition.

In addition to strengthening immunity and promoting the balance of the intestinal microbiota, they also aid in the adsorption of mycotoxins, improve enteric integrity, the villous-crypt ratio, show better results in weight gain and feed conversion, and also in breeding, the increase of egg production.

Yes provides antibiotic-free products in its entire line with the most rigorous quality control. We have certifications such as FAMIQS, GMP+, Feed & Food Safety. All suppliers are approved in the HACCP system of good production practices.

In addition to GutBio GlucanMOS and Golf Line, Yes offers the market the complete line of GutBio solutions of intestinal microbiota immunomodulators with local immunomodulating effect, namely: GutBio MOS, GutBio FOS and GutBio GOS.
